Even in Saathiya 2 I’ve played so many roles and have been in disguise. I love playing negative characters as it gives me variation and a lot of scope to perform. But then I slowly understood that if viewers and the audience are making such comments it means I am successful as an actor because they are convinced that I am that mean person who is seen on screen. I would get messages like I am the most mean person on earth, I am spoiling people’s life. Because for my initial shows I used to receive a lot of hatred and I would feel bad. Once I decided I will start playing negative, I told myself to not get affected by the mean and negative comments from the viewers. And in almost 8 shows out of 14 I’ve played a negative character. I’ve been playing the negative characters for a long time now and this is my 14th show. Was it difficult to manage all the responsibilities on your shoulders? Saathiya 2 has a comparatively new star cast when it comes to leads but you are a known name especially with negative roles. Viewers took time to accept us but once they started liking us, they happily accepted us. They started commenting asking the makers to bring back the original cast. The audience started questioning us about it. When the show started it was introduced by the cast of season one and then we were told that they are not going to stay in the show for long, and that they have just come to introduce the show. How was the initial response for the show? Did you face negative criticism because Saathiya season 1 had a huge fan base?
